The upcoming exhibition at Design Museum Life on Foot marks the 40 year anniversary of the creative Spanish footwear brand Camper and gives an unprecedented picture of how a shoe collection is researched, created and presented – from the carving of the last to the graphics on the box.
In this talk on the opening day of the new exhibition, join Design Museum Director Deyan Sudjic as he discusses forty years of a design dynasty with Camper’s Miguel Fluxa and longtime collaborator Martí Guixé. This talk will look at archives, memories, and ideas with the man who made it happen.
Whilst the exhibition showcases Camper’s traditional shoemaking skills and contemporary design ethos, this talk will reflect on forty years of the brand documenting the story of this family business from its humble beginnings to the global brand it is today.
