Just back from the unveiling of a new popup mural in Clerkenwell. The entire side wall of The Hat & Feathers pub on the corner of Clerkenwell Road and Goswell Road has been brilliantly decorated with a vast mural celebrating the 90th anniversary of the iconic Route 66 and evoking the 50s with its Drive-In sign, gas pump and retro car.
The 52ft high mural was completed over three days this week by internationally renowned graffiti artist Will Vibes and his team. It is an amazing sight and brilliantly executed. As is the way of popups it is only going to be there for the next two weeks before it will be whitewashed over.
